Community health center pallickal, refers to non-treatment based health services that are delivered outside hospitals and clinics. Community health is a subset of public health that is taught to and practiced by clinicians as part of their normal duties.

Community health volunteers and community health workers work with primary care providers to facilitate entry into, exit from and utilization of the formal health system by community members as well as providing supplementary services such as support groups or wellness events that are not offered by medical institution.

The Community Health Center (CHC)in pallickal began its journey in 1982 as a humble dispensary , founded with the vision of providing accessible and affordable healthcare to the local community.

primary health center

Recognizing the growing demand for comprehensive healthcare services, the dispensary was upgraded to a primary health center (PHC) IN 1985.

After its significant upgrade to a primary health center in 1985, the center achieved yet another milestone in December 2012 when it was elevated to a status of a community health center (CHC).
